As your captain for 2010 I would like to welcome all our members to the new golfing season. I hope you derive great enjoyment every time you play this testing course and hopefully we will have another successful season at Ballina Golf Club.

I would like to thank our outgoing captain Michael O’Malley as well as our outgoing officers and committee members, for all their efforts in various roles and who worked so hard to keep the standard of the course and clubhouse to the highest level.

A sincere thank you to all our sponsors to whom we are deeply indebted. Your ongoing generosity allows us to continue to develop and improve the golfing and leisure facilities for our members.

I would like to congratulate the Lady Captain, Frances Burke and wish her and her committee all the best for 2010.

Good luck to our gents, ladies, mixed and juvenile teams in the interclub matches this year; I hope they will match the success of our Connacht Shield Team last year!

Finally I ask you the members to support me and my committee in our efforts, Ballina Golf Club is for all of us and its success depends on the hard work and endeavours of us all.
