FOREWORD
Ballina Golf Club offers one of the most scenic parkland courses in the West of
Ireland. It is situated in the heart of the unspoilt Moy Valley region and very close
to Ballina town centre.
Set against the backdrop of the majestic Ox Mountains, this challenging 18 Hole
Course offers lush fairways, carefully manicured greens and strategically placed
water hazards.
It offers the golfer variety, a fair test of golf and most important of all, good value
for money.
Founded in 1910, the club had a nomadic stop start existence in its early years
until the 1924 relocation to its present home at Mossgrove, which had been part
of the Jones Estate.
Over the years it has always adapted to meet the needs of a particular time, developing to 18 holes in 1995 and completing a new ultra-modern clubhouse in
2005.
The Eddie Hackett designed Ballina Golf Club currently hosts more than 10,000
persons (golfers and visitors) per annum, and is renowned for its friendly
welcoming ambience, with members and visitors alike being accommodated and
valued.
Sponsorship Opportunity
The sponsorship package is being offered at a cost of €5,000 and will include:
- Five-year sponsorship of one of the course tee boxes for the calendar years 2025 to 2029
inclusive. - First refusal each year for a further five years for the renewal of the tee box sponsorship
at €500 per annum. - Three complimentary 4-ball vouchers per annum.
- One complimentary 4-ball team entry to the annual Ballina Golf Club Classic
competition. - Business name included on the clubhouse sponsor wall.
- Business name included on the club website.
- Under Section 235 TCA, the club, as an approved sports body undertaking an approved
project, will provide a receipt to each sponsor to enable a deduction to be claimed on
the sponsors Form CT1 (for a company) or Form 11 (for a sole trader).
Expression of Interest and Timelines:
Because of the logistics of commissioning and arranging the tee box signage, we are looking
for an Expression of Interest from sponsors by 30th September 2024.
Payment of the sponsorship funds will then be welcomed by 31st October 2024.
